Spooky's Fairy Splendors

Howdy, y'all! Time for a day two / going into day three update!

First things first, we ended day two with 25% of funding! Way to go everyone! This is so cool! Let's keep the momentum going. Share Fairy Seasons with those you think would dig it, answer some polls, and heck, go check out more of The Book Bazaar!

By the way, everyone has reached an achievement! The project has over 50 followers. You've all unleashed the pickle!

Now, I still have yet to add the monocle and bowtie that will make the pickle truly dapper. This achievement pickle will be given to all upon reward fulfillment, either as stickers (for physical reward peeps) and / or as downloads. The downloads can be printed at will or used for emotes. There will be a couple extra pickles with different expressions, too!

Thank you all for bring this achievement to life! I literally couldn't have done it without you!

Reindeer Readathon!!!

The Reindeer Readathon is a competitive reading marathon that runs from December 1st to December 31st. The Book Bazaar happens to be one of the prize sponsors. Many members of the Bazaar have chipped in some awesome book prizes (including me!).

Today is the fairy flying day! At noon (CST), we launch! To celebrate, we're doing a live stream on twitch. Authors and project peeps will be popping in and out. Come see what all the fuss is about! Celebrate the beginning of this wonderful event!

In celebration of today, I dropped the first two polls for the Make-A-Fairy activity. For this particular fairy, there will be five total polls. The next few will be sprinkled throughout the next couple of days. Voting for them ends on the 18th, 5pm (CST).

On the 19th, a new set of polls for a new fairy will drop. Similarly, it will run 1 week. And by the end of that week, I'll have a sketch of the new fairy finished.

This is going to be so much fun, y'all!!!

Five days, y'all! How nerve-wracking! Then, this fairy baby is going to take flight and The Book Bazaar is going to launch!

So, I'm going to do a really fun thing. I got the idea from Aimee Cozza of The Lucky Machine (https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/aimee-cozza-illustration/the-lucky-machine/launch_party). In previous campaigns (and this one!) she's done a build-a-bot activity for followers and backers.

Well, like a fairy steals a baby, I'm taking the idea and putting a changeling in it's place! I'm going to run a weekly Make-A-Fairy activity for followers and backers.

Each week, polls will pop up, asking all you lovely people to vote on a trait or theme. The winning things will be incorporated into the fairy. At the end of the week, which will run from Wednesday to Wednesday, a new series of polls will drop for the next fairy.

Now, since I am drawing these weekly, coloring and all that won't be done. Basically, I'll have awesome sketches. However, I will be getting them colored and made into stickers, bookmarks, prints, etc. There will be an add-on available (physical and digital versions) for these fairy friends, if you'd like to have them. I'm also going to include them in the Fairy Seasons book with some fun lore about them, a small tribute to Good Fairies, Bad Fairies by Brian Froud, and of course, to all of you!
