Spooky's Fairy Splendors

Ah! Oh my! Here we are.

It's the final full day. And then, tomorrow, at 1pm (PST, so like, 3pm EST. I think), this wonderful event comes to a funding close.

But, we're still not done yet! So, don't stop sharing and don't. stop. BELIEVING!!! Our journey (ha) is far from over. And the fairies thrive off of belief.

I am serious about the journey part not being over, though. There's so much to do and I'm excited to do it. And have been doing it. Writing and art are coming along pretty great! And, after my two day art event, I won't have a million events going on anymore. I can really focus on making fairy seasons the best that I can. And, because of all of you, I can hire an editor to find those silly mistakes I will have certainly made.

I won't keep you all for very long. I wish everyone the best. Let's finish this thing super strong!


Also, I found time to digitally ink one of the fairy stickers. I have another design I've sketched out. Soon, I'll be coloring both. Hopefully, the other I can use color pencil on. I almost want to make this into a full on coloring sheet. It looks really fun to color! What do you think?

Hello fairy friends! It's time for a very another update!

We have the final poll for this week's make-a-fairy ready for everyone to vote on. Go vote!

We have less than four days left before the campaign ends! Ah! 

As a special weekend treat, I'm revealing the sketches for last week's fairy animal companion.

The first of these sketches is the animal companion. He has lizard traits, a unicorn horn, fuzzy mammal fur, a mermaid tail, and the appendages of a insect. I chose praying mantis. The sword wasn't a winning thing, but it did tie with all the secondary traits. The winning accessory, a cute friend, is what the second drawing is of. The cute friend is wearing earrings and carrying an umbrella. I didn't quite know how to fit the sweater in without it being too much, sadly.

While these creatures look aquatic, and can swim if need be, they are more apt to levitating above the ground. They swim through the air.

I'm excited to ink these very soon! I hope you like them!

I know I usually do my updates in the morning, but it just didn't work out that way. I blissfully slept in and then did tons of stuff all day. Honestly, I do not recommend. The doing stuff all day part, I mean. I'm already tuckered out enough for bed.

I'd like to shout our Belinda Crawford and her project, The Hero Rebellion. She has a really cool hunt thing going that expands through several other Book Bazaar projects. Check it out! It would be really cool if someone solved it!

There's some projects that could use a little more love (and backers). They're projects I really, really like, so please! If you can! There are lower tiers if high pledges aren't in your wallet. Gems and Star Flowers is at 64% funded.  GULA is at 54%. I'd love to see them hit that 100% number so that they're projects can go live!

I'd also like to direct your attention to Blood Ties. While it is fully funded, a few more pledges couldn't hurt!

And, of course, all of the Book Bazaar is awesome! If backing isn't possible, share the collaborative around.

Here's a picture of my youngest cat, Serosh. He was just a little guy once. Now he's a giant. I promised I'd share more pictures of him once I reached my funding goal. And so, here he is!

I maaaay have given a lot of options so, I tried not going as crazy this time.

Well good morning, my friends! Or, well, good whatever time of day it is for you!

The results of the latest make-a-fairy polls are in AND this project is 95% of the way to reaching the initial funding goal. My flabbers are beyond gasted! There were some steady climbs. Then there were those crazy leaps. Just... wow!

This couldn't have happened without all of your support. Whether you've shared and or pledged, hyped up this project and more, it couldn't have happened if people didn't believe in the project (and the fairies).

Okay, I'll stop with the ooshy gushy stuff for now and save most of that for the end celebration. There's still a week left, so anything can happen. I could reach the goal and then suddenly get unfunded again if people cancel. And people do cancel. And there's no judgement in that.

Though, I really hope no one cancels!

Anyways, I'm sure you're wondering what the results of the fairy animal companion polls were. Well, behold!

The winning...uh, winners:

1. Lizard and Mammalian tied. (Worry not, I have an idea based off of a dragon cat critter idea I've been playing around with mentally)

2. Mermaid Tail (heck yeah. So cute)

3. Unicorn Horn (Makes me super happy, honestly. I also have a friend who calls me Unicorn, soooo, yeah, super cool)

4. Insectoid Legs (That's going to be interesting. I think it'll still be cute!)

5. For necessary accessory, Cute friend won! For the secondary choices, there were votes for earrings, a sword, and an umbrella. There was also a comment suggestion for a sweater. I decided to incorporate all. I know just the way.

I've also finished my initial sketch of the first fairy. I've got quite the lore cooked up! I'll tell you all about that in a different update. Don't want this thing to get too long!

I'll be adding more detail after I digitally ink this and so one. I'll be able to get the wings a little more symmetrical. And also show the secret in the crystal cavity... (It's another eye).
